Afterthoughts Dessert Restaurant is a gourmet dessert restaurant in Abbotsford BC, famous for their gourmet cheesecakes and other mouth-watering specialties including fruit crisps, cakes, quiches, and pies. Any Abbotsford local knows Afterthoughts is “the place to go” for desserts and specialty coffees, and they always satisfy the sweet tooth. In addition to eat-in and takeout, Afterthoughts sells most of their treats as whole baked items, which are popular for family gatherings, work events, and parties.

Restaurant owners John and Tina approached 1st on the List in May 2021 to build a brand-new WordPress E-commerce website for their Afterthoughts Dessert Restaurant. They had recently received a Launch Online Grant from the BC Government that was designated to build an e-commerce website to reach more customers and sell their whole baked goods online. Their existing three-page dessert restaurant website design not only lacked the ability to order online but it was also built in GoDaddy and had little SEO impact.
Afterthoughts had also moved locations within the last few years and needed to revamp their Google Business Listing with newer exterior and interior photos of their restaurant.

Now, with the click of a few buttons, customers can order a cheesecake (or any other delicious treat) and Afterthoughts staff can easily track and fill these orders.

Our Google Street View Trusted Photographer just finished shooting a Google 360 Virtual Tour of the new Afterthoughts dessert restaurant, which will be uploaded to their Google My Business listing and used on the new restaurant website design. The photoshoot included multiple interior views and exterior views of Afterthoughts. This virtual tour will pay great dividends as new customers can visualize the restaurant and plan ahead for their visit. It is also important as the new virtual restaurant tour will help replace and downplay old, uploaded images of their previous location.
